A notable name missing from the travelling party once again was Raphael Varane, after the French centre-back failed to recover from an ankle injury he picked up on international duty.
Varane also missed the La Liga El Clasico win over Barcelona over the weekend.
With the talented France international out, Sergio Ramos and Pepe are expected to form the partnership in the heart of the back four.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Dani Carvajal, Isco, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are all included in the squad for the clash at Volkswagen Arena.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will be making their first appearance at Volkswagen Arena, which has proven to be a very difficult place for several teams.
However, Bale has revealed the La Liga side will be going out for a win.
“We knew that any team that made it to the quarter-finals would be difficult,” said the Welshman on www.realmadrid.com. “We’re looking forward to playing. We’re going to go out to win both games and hopefully we can.
Full-back Carvajal also echoed the confidence in the Spanish giants squad which has won six consecutive games.
In that six-game winning streak, Real Madrid have scored 20 goals and conceded just four and the Spanish defender says the club will continue to play attacking football against Wolfsburg.
“We’re going to win, not thinking about the second leg at our stadium,” the 24-year-old said on www.realmadrid.com:
“We have to go out as strong as possible for the first half hour, try to get on top of the opposition and to get goals.
“We know that scoring away from home is very important so we’ll go for it.”
