TEXAS, Sporting Alert – The TV broadcasters, live streaming and complete schedule for the SEC teams in action on Week 2 in college football this weekend.
The highlighted fixtures for Week 2 will come from the Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field in Starkville, Miss. where No. 14 LSU and No. 25 Mississippi State meet at 9:15 p.m. ET. Live coverage will be on ESPN, with ESPN3 providing live streaming online Skycam action.
While the Bulldogs (1-0) are aiming to secure its second victory of the season and a rare back-to-back win of the LSU, the Tigers will be hoping to start their campaign on a winning note after the scheduled season opener with McNeese State was canceled due to bad weather last Saturday.
Mississippi State opened its season with a 34-16 win over Southern Mississippi with Dak Prescott throwing for 237 yards and two touchdowns, while running for another 72 yards and a score in the victory.
LSU leads the series 71-34-3 and is the favorite among the betters to continue their dominance over a Mississippi State team that jumped all over them with a 34-10 early lead last season on their way to a rare triumph. The Tigers fought back, but were unable to overcome the poor start and went down 34-29.
Heading into this clash, Les Miles team is favored to win by 4.5 points with an ‘over/under’ of 50.
Also live on ESPN and streaming live on ESPN3 is the battle between Tennessee (1-0) and out of conference opponents Oklahoma (1-0).
The Volunteers opened the campaign with a 59-30 victory over Bowling Green after scoring in all four quarters and held off a very good individual performance from Falcons’ quarterback Matt Johnson, who threw for an impressive 424 yards without an interception.
Sooners got away to a winning start as well on Saturday over Akron.
After a slow start to the contest, the Big 12 outfits raced away to a commanding 41-3 victory after scoring 24 of the total points in the second half and tallied 539 total yards and held their opponents to just 88 yards passing.
Oklahoma heads into Saturday’s game with Tennessee, leading the series 2-1 from their three previous meetings.
The Sooners come in favored to win by 1.5 points with an ‘over/under’ of 63.
Elsewhere on Saturday, No. 17 Ole Miss (1-0) will meet Fresno State (1-0) in Oxford, No. 16 Texas A&M, which upset No. 15 Arizona State in Week 1, play hosts to Ball State in its home opener, while No. 2 ranked Alabama (1-0) heads home to Tuscaloosa to take on Middle Tennessee (1-0) at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Auburn (1-0) take on Jacksonville State (1-0) at Jordan-Hare Stadium at 12 p.m. ET, live on the SEC Network.
