MIAMI, FL (December 2) —— A pair of games on the AP Top 25 schedule will highlight the college basketball fixtures on Friday night, December 2. No. 6 Baylor will take on No. 14 Gonzaga, while No. 16 Illinois and No. 22 Maryland will meet in the other featured game.
Baylor (5-2) enters this game looking to rebound from the 96-70 loss to the unranked Marquette team on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs (5-2) beat Xavier 88-84 on Sunday in the third-place game of the 2022 Phil Knight Legacy men’s tournament, but have dropped eight places in the AP Top 25 rankings after losing to Purdue in the same week. On Friday, Gonzaga starts as a 2.5-point favorite to beat Baylor and has a 50.2% chance to win the game according to the ESPN Basketball Power Index.
