Warriors To 9-0, Lakers Lose Again: NBA Scores: Nov. 11

WARRIORS 100, GRIZZLIES 84

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Stephen Curry scored 28 points in leading the Golden State Warriors to a 100-84 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

The win pushed the defending NBA champions out to a 9-0 start to the season, which matched a franchise record for most wins to start a term.

Curry wasn’t too prolific shooting from the field again, as he shot 9 of 21. The reigning MVP also had five rebounds, five assists and five steals for the Warriors.

Andre Iguodala added 20 points on 6 of 9 shooting, while Harrison Barnes ended with 19 points for Golden State, which shot 48 percent from the floor as a team.

Marc Gasol had 26 points and seven rebounds, Zach Randolph added 19 and seven boards and Tony Allen finished with 15 and four rebounds for the Grizzlies, who lost their fourth successive.

It was the second meeting this season between the two sides after the Warriors defeated their fellow Western Conference rivals, 119-69 on Nov. 2, which was the worst loss in franchise history for Memphis.

The Warriors face the Timberwolves on Thursday night, while the Grizzlies (3-6) take on the Trail Blazers on Friday night.

SPURS 113, TRAIL BLAZERS 101

PORTLAND, Ore. — LaMarcus Aldridge enjoyed a winning return to Portland after scoring 23 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 113-101 win over the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.

Aldridge, who left Portland for San Antonio during the offseason as a free agent, after playing nine seasons with the Trail Blazers, received a mixture of cheers and boos from the fans at the Moda Center.

He shot 9 of 18 and added six rebounds in the win.

Kawhi Leonard had 20 points and shot 7 of 14, while pulling down seven rebounds and Tim Duncan added 12 points and six rebounds for the Spurs, who picked up their third straight victory.

Manu Ginobili scored 14 points, while Tony Parker and Danny Green each had 11 points in the win for San Antonio (6-2).

Damian Lillard led Portland with 22 points, while knocking down five 3-pointers, and added nine assists, while C.J. McCollum scored 21 points in the defeat for the home side.
