MADISON, Wis. — Highlights and box score as Maryland upset No. 6 Wisconsin 70-64 in a Big Ten Conference game at Kohl Center on Monday night.

Eric Ayala scored 17 points with four rebounds, while Aaron Wiggins added 15 points, nine rebounds and two steals to lead the way for Maryland, which had dropped three of four games entering this game.

“We really grew in the last five days. A lot of meetings, a lot of being together,” Maryland coach Mark Turgeon said.

Donta Scott finished with 12 points and four rebounds, Jarius Hamilton chipped in with nine points and four rebounds and Darryl Morsell supported with eight points, five boards and three blocks for the Terrapins (6-3, 1-2 Big Ten).

DMitrik Trice shot 8 of 14 from the field and made three of his six attempts from 3-pointers to finish with 25 points, four rebounds and three assists to lead Wisconsin (8-2, 2-1).

Streak Snapped For Wisconsin

Aleem Ford added 10 points and six rebounds and Nate Reuvers chipped in with eight points and six boards for the Badgers, who had their streak of 10 straight conference wins snapped.

Monday night’s defeat also ended Wisconsin’s run of 15 straight home wins.

As a team, Maryland shot 50% on 26 of 52 attempts from the field and edged Wisconsin 32-29 in the rebound column.

The Badgers, meanwhile, shot 43.6% on 24 of 55 shooting, while going 8 for 21 from 3-point range for 38.1%.

“Our zone pushed them out to the perimeter. I think it slowed them down a lot there for us,” Ayala said.
