In the preseason AP Poll, the Seminoles are the No. 1 in the country. Most of the players from last season return to the program, except for the Seminoles two receivers, two running backs and a center. Seminoles lost Kelvin Benjamin who was picked in the first round of the NFL draft.

With some players out, the Seminoles have the ace quarterback Jameis Winston, whose winning touchdown pass to Benjamin in the BCS final game against Auburn would always be remembered.

Winston led the Seminoles in an undefeated season and he was significant in that illustrious victory. Part of Seminoles success this year is having a healthy quarterback who is proven to be a winner.

The good news for the Seminoles is the return of wide receiver Rashad Greene. Moreover, the offensive line with four senior starters is back for the Seminoles. This only means that Winston can do the damage in getting the ball into his receivers.

Florida State made a record in the FBS by scoring 723 points through the offensive attacks that originates from Winston. Moreover, the Seminoles offensive yards totalled for 7,267 yards.

Having the offense intact, the defense of the Seminoles will be important if they want to get back into the championship game. Last season, the Seminoles’ passing defense was No 1 in the country by yielding only 156.6 yards per game, while the rushing offense was ranked 18th, yielding 124 yards per game.

The defense of the Seminoles recorded 26 interceptions in 2013. Expected to be back are PJ Williams and Jalen Ramsey. Ronald Darby and Nate Andrews also return for FSU to have strong cornerbacks.

Oklahoma State Cowboys are the underdogs but they would fight until the end. Though it is not expected at all for Oklahoma State to trouble Florida State, the Cowboys will try to put the Seminoles into the defensive.

J.W. Walsh is the starting quarterback of the Oklahoma State. Walsh can make the difference if he effectively navigates against the vaunted defense of the Seminoles.

Florida State Seminoles vs Oklahoma State Cowboys football is a game to watch. Probably, the first biggest upset in the opening week of college football is about to happen.
