First Half Report: Miami vs New Orleans

Duncan Robinson made six shots from long-range, the most 3-pointers in a half on Christmas Day to help the Miami Heat take a 66-53 lead over the New Orleans Pelicans at halftime.

As a team, Miami made a Christmas Day record of 13 3-pointers in a half.

Robinson shot 6 for 8 from 3-point range to finish the half with 18 points to lead the way for the Heat. Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic each had eight points. Dragic also has six assists.

Jimmy Bulter has four points six rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Meanwhile, Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson each scored 16 points for the Pelicans. Williamson, who also had eight rebounds, scored 12 of his points in the second quarter to help New Orleans trim what had been a 23 point lead for the Heat.

Miami scored 29 points in the opening quarter after a slow start that saw them trailing 17-9 midway in the period. Robinson made 4 of 5 from 3-periods in the quarter for 12 points.

Miami suffered a 113-107 defeat to the Orlando Magic in its opening game of the season, while the Pelicans picked up a 113-109 win over the Toronto Raptors.

The New Orleans Pelicans and the Miami Heat unwrap the Christmas Day NBA fixtures as the pair clash in the opening game of the five that are slated for Friday.
