Charlottesville, VA – No. 16 Virginia hunts its third successive win against William & Mary at John Paul Jones Arena on Tuesday. The Cavaliers last played on Dec 4 and had three games either postponed or canceled due to COVID-19 issues.

Tip-off time for this one is slated for 2:00 PM ET with ACC Network and WatchESPN.com providing the live television and streaming coverage. Virginia enters as a 23.5 point favorite.

On Tuesday, the Cavaliers, who recently resumed basketball activities after a 10-day shutdown because of coronavirus, will hope to pick up from where it left off after grabbing wins over St. Francis (Pa.) and Kent State prior to the stoppage.

William & Mary (2-2), meanwhile, is coming off a 71-49 defeat against High Point three days ago, but won two straight before that setback. The Cavaliers (3-1) will be the Tribe first ranked opponent this season.

UVA is scoring 74.0 points per game and its defense is holding opponents to 57.5 at the other end. The Cavaliers are shooting 49.5% from the floor and are dishing out 13.5 assists with 35.0 rebounds per contest.

For William & Mary, the team is scoring 71.8 points and giving up 74.8 points per game this season. The Tribe pulls down 32.5 boards a game with 5.8 steals.

Following Tuesday’s game, Virginia will take on No. 1 ranked side Gonzaga on Dec. 26.
