Cal State Fullerton, which is also in good form, enters the College World Series aiming to lift the national championship for the fifth time.
The Titans got off to a very good run, with Timmy Richards blasting home a 3-run home run to place the top seed under immediate pressure.
Richards hammered his homer at the top of the first inning, which gave Cal State Fullerton a 3-0 lead.
Meanwhile, the starters today on the mound are Jake Thompson for Oregon State and he is up against Connor Seabold, who is the starter for CS Fullerton.
Oregon State comes into the College World Series on a 21 game winning streak, which according to NCAA.com, is the longest active streak in the country.
Can they keep it going, or will the Titans be the team to finally stop that run.
Cal State Fullerton lead the Beavers 5-1 early, but the Pac-12 outfits have stormed back and we now have a game.
Trailing 5-1 through four innings, Oregon State, which is showing why they won over 50 games this season, was gifted with four walks and they turned it into four runs to a knot the contest through six innings.
I smell trouble for CS Fullerton, which must get it together quickly and risk losing this game.
One thing for sure, though, the Oregon State players are certainly growing in confidence.
