Brooklyn and Boston opened the new season on a winning note this week. The Nets secured a thumping 125-99 victory over the Golden State Warriors on opening night, while the Celtics escaped with a close 122-121 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.

As expected, Brooklyn with his powerhouse offense that includes the likes of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, starts as a two-point favorite with the over/under sitting at 227.5 points, according to William Hill Sportsbook.

Irving, Durant, and Caris LeVert all scored at least 20 points in the season opener on Tuesday, while DeAndre Jordan leads the team with 11.0 rebounds per game.

Durant, who made his long-awaited regular-season debut for the Nets after returning from the ruptured right Achilles injury that kept him out of action last year, had 22 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals in 25 minutes Tuesday night.

In his debut for Brooklyn, Irving posted 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field with four 3-pointers in the victory over the Warriors.

For the Celtics, Jaylen Brown scored 33 points and five rebounds in the win over the Bucks, while Jayson Tatum, who made the go-ahead banking 3-pointer during that game, had 30 points and seven rebounds on Wednesday night.

Celtics: Tacko Fall: out (eye), Romeo Langford: out (right wrist), Kemba Walker: out (left knee).

Nets: Nicolas Claxton: out (right knee).
