MUNICH, Germany (Sporting Alert) — Bayern Munich beat Manchester City 2-1 to claim the Audi Cup 2013 trophy at Allianz Arena on Thursday night.
Earlier Serie A team AC Milan beat Brazilian club Sao Paulo 1-0 for third place.

In the final, Manchester City took the lead through summer signing Alvaro Negredo, who broke free and fired past a diving Manuel Neuer in the 61st minute.
But Bayern Munich hit back with two goals, first from Thomas Muller, who scored from the penalty spot in the 66th minute after City captain Vincent Kompany handled the ball inside the area.
Star striker Mario Mandzukic then netted the winner – heading home a cross from Muller in the 73rd after coming on as a substitute.
Manchester City missed a chance of pulling a goal back after Bayern keeper Neuer made an impressive reaction save from Edin Dzeko seconds before the final whistle.
