Week 2 NCAA college football Results, Box Scores

(Sporting Alert, Box ScoreThe following are the final scores from the NCAA college football games which took place on Saturday (Sept. 7).

While several high ranked teams picked up predicted victories, there were a few upsets amongst some of the favourites on a loaded day of action in Week Two.

Amongst the list of easy winners on the day were No. 2 Oregon, who hammered Virginia, 59-10 in an all one-sided contest, while No. 3 Ohio State on the back of two touchdowns from Kenny Guiton, defeated San Diego State 42-7.

Notable, the Buckeyes were without junior Braxton Miller for most of the game after he was forced to leave the contest with a sprained left knee.

No. 4 Clemson continued their dominating start to the season, following a comfortable 52-13 victory over South Carolina State, while No. 5 Stanford 34 eased past San Jose State, 13; No. 7 Texas A&M had a dominating 65-28 win over Sam Houston State, No. 8 Louisville beat Eastern Kentucky 44-7 and No. 9 LSU and an easy 56-17 win over UAB.

Also on Saturday, a very sloppy No. 12 Florida were beaten 21-16 by Miami (FL), No. 11 Georgia defeated No. 6 South Carolina, 41-30, No. 15 Texas were also sloppy in a 40-21 defeat against Brigham Young and No. 17 Michigan stopped No. 14 Notre Dame 41-30.
