Week 4: AP College Football Poll; Florida State Still No. 1

NEW YORK (SportingAlert.com) — Florida State continues to hold down the No. 1 slot in the latest release of The Associated Press poll on Sunday.

The Seminoles (2-0), who were idle in Week 3 this weekend, received 37 of the 60 first place votes in the AP poll and collected 1,466 points.

Oregon (17), Alabama (1), Oklahoma (2) and Auburn, remain the top five teams in the poll, but there were some movements below them.

Georgia, who were previously ranked sixth, fell to No. 13 after losing 38-35 to No. 24 South Carolina on Saturday, while USC dropped from eight-places from ninth to No. 17, following their upsetting 37 -31 defeat Boston College.

Texas A&M (3), Baylor, LSU, Notre Dame and Ole Miss complete the top 10 list this week in the poll.

Virginia Tech (previously at 17) and Louisville, (previously at 21) both dropped out of the top 25 rankings, while Oklahoma State returns to the ranking for the first time this season at No. 25.
