OKLAHOMA, Sporting Alert – College football Week 5 ESPN3 live streaming games and matches involving top 25 ranked teams on Saturday.
There are some interesting battles on the schedule for Week 5, including an appetizing Big 12 clash between No. 15 Oklahoma and No. 23 West Virginia at the Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman.
Six of the seven games kicking off at 11:00 a.m. CT, will involve teams ranked in the AP top 25.
Besides the Sooners (3-0) and the Mountaineers (3-0) matchup, No. 2 Michigan State (4-0) will look to start 5-0 this season against the Purdue (1-3) at Spartan Stadium, a game televising live on ESPN2.
Another Big 12 game going off at 11:00 a.m. is the clash between No. 4 TCU against Texas at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The Horned Frogs (4-0) are still undefeated this season, while the Longhorns (1-3) have won just once from its four.
Elsewhere at 11:00 a.m., Minnesota is at No. 16 Northwestern, Iowa goes to the Camp Randall Stadium to take on No. 19 Wisconsin and the improving No. 22 Michigan travels to Maryland.
Meanwhile, No. 1 Ohio State (4-0) is at Memorial Stadium for the date with Indiana. Live coverage will be at 2:30 and streaming live on ESPN3.
The Buckeyes remain the top ranked college football team in the country, but there are lots of murmurs going around that a defeat during any point of this stretch would see them dropping significantly, as the defending champions have not looked particularly great to start the term.
At Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., No. 13 Alabama and No. 8 Georgia will battle at 2:30 PM on CBS – a game being taunted as the matchup of the week.
The Bulldogs (4-0) are yet to lose a game this campaign, but are expected to be challenged more by Crimson Tide (3-1) who cannot afford to lose another game this term, this after going down 43-37 to Ole Miss on Sep 19.
Elsewhere in college football Week 5, ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN app is expected to blow up when No. 6 Notre Dame and No. 12 Clemson battle at Memorial Stadium.
The Fighting Irish are 4-0 this season, while the Tigers are off to a 3-0 start to the season.
On the day as well, No. 14 Texas A&M will try to knock off No. 21 Mississippi State at Kyle Field.
