“Hopefully our bowlers could get it right at the start, it’s another opportunity for them. Our bowlers didn’t put the ball in the right areas in the last match and we learnt from the way the NZ bowlers bowled to us,” West Indies captain Darren Sammy said.
Sammy also confirmed that West Indies made no changes to the side that drew the first Test match.
He added: “Hopefully we will get it right this time. We contemplated on playing Sunil Narine but looking at the pitch, I don’t think it will be fair to change the combination. No changes in the team.”
For New Zealand, Kane Williamson comes into the starting XI for Aaron Redmond.
Captain Brendon McCullum said: “Kane Williamson comes in for Aaron Redmond. Ish Sodhi continues, he has the ability to turn the ball later on and the wind should help him get some drift.
“Hopefully we can put up a competitive score in the first innings to help the bowlers.”
