Bravo missed the win over Sri Lanka in the last game in Jamaica, but the captain is happy to be back and playing in front of his home supporters.

“I’ve had four days of treatment, I’m feeling in a much better position than I was Sunday gone,” he was quoted as saying

“… I’m looking forward to leading the team, first time at home. It’s gonna be a great atmosphere.”

He added: “My first home game as captain so I am very excited about it.”

Bravo takes the place of Devon Smith, who made a duck against Sri Lanka, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes back into the side for Shami Ahmed in India’s only change.

The West Indies will go in search of their third successive win, following victories against Sri Lanka and these same Indians during the opening leg of the tournament at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

Victory for the Windies at the Oval, will see them booking a place in the final with one game to go and the host will be going all out to try and secure an early place.

“We’ve been good in different patches…It’s important that (today) we give a good showing, batters bat deep, get runs, bowlers do the right things,” Bravo said.

“We are in a good position to make it to the finals but we are not going to sit back and relax. The more we win it is the better we become as a team and that’s our aim.”
