NEW YORK (Sporting Alert) — Alabama remains the No. 1 team in the latest AP NCAAF College Football Poll, but there were several movements below them.

As expected, the Crimson Tide (7-0), after battering Arkansas 52-0 in a one-side contest on Saturday night, once again collected 55 of the first-place votes and a total of 1,495 points from a nationwide media panel.

The Oregon Ducks (7-0), which defeated Washington State, 62-38, Saturday, received three first-place votes and a total of 1,427pts to stay No. 2 in the poll, but there was a switch at No. 3.

After getting hammered by Florida State, the previously third-ranked Clemson (6-1) dropped five places to No. 9, with the Seminoles (6-0), which picked up a 51-14 victory on the road and got the next two votes, replacing them at No. 3.

Ohio State (7-0) remains No. 4, following their battling 34-24 win over Iowa, while Missouri (7-0) impressively jumped from 14th last week to sit at No. 5, after beating the then-No. 22 Florida, 36-17.

Baylor leaped six-places to No. 6, Miami (FL) moved up three places to No. 7, while Stanford returns to the top at No. 8, after starting the week at 13th.

Completing the top ten are Clemson and Texas Tech (7-0), which moved from 16th to No. 10.

There were also moves for Auburn, which is up to No. 11 after being at No. 24 last week, while LSU dropped from No. 6 to 13th, Texas A&M, from No. 7 to No. 14 and South Carolina from the 11th-ranked team down to 20th.

Georgia (15), Washington (20) and Florida (22) all dropped from the rankings.
