Alabama stays No. 1 in AP NCAAF Top 25 poll – Week 7

NEW YORK (Sporting Alert) — As expected, Alabama remains No. 1 is the Associated Press’ latest NCAA college football Top 25 poll, which was released on Sunday.

The Crimson Tide (5-0), which remains undefeated this season, following their 45-3 hammering of Georgia State on Saturday, received 55 of the 60 first-place votes and a total of 1,495 points from a nationwide media panel.

They also collected the same number of votes in last week’s rankings.

Oregon remains No. 2 after receiving the remaining five first place votes and a total of 1,424 points.

Clemson, who picked up a comfortable 49-14 victory at Syracuse on Saturday, stays at No. 3, while Ohio State and Stanford followed at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

The top ten is completed by Florida State, which moved up two spots to No. 6, after the 63-0 flogging of then-No. 25 Maryland, who dropped from rankings.

Georgia dropped one spot to No. 7 so too did Louisville to No. 8, while Texas A&M and LSU completed the remaining slots in the first 10.
