Alabama stays top, Florida State climbs, but Oregon drops – NCAAF AP Poll

NEW YORK (Sporting Alert) — Alabama remained the No.1 program in the latest Associated Press (AP) college football poll, which was released on Sunday afternoon.

The Crimson Tide (9-0) received 56 first-place votes and a total of 1,472 points from a nationwide media panel, following their 38-17 win over the then-No. 13 LSU on Saturday night.

Florida State (9-0) moved up to No. 2 after their one-sided 59-3 win over Wake Forest, which earned them three first-place votes, which was three less than last week and total of 1418 points.

Oregon’s loss to Stanford on Thursday night see them dropping to No.6, which the idled Ohio State (9-0) climbed one place to No. 3 with Baylor (8-0) up to No 4. The top five is completed by Stanford (8-1).

LSU dropped to No. 18, while Oklahoma, who were battered by Baylor in midweek dropped to No. 22 and the then-No. 11 Miami (FL) down to No. 24.
