Barclays Premier League Results on Nov. 10

MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Robin van Persie scored the only goal for Manchester United to beat Arsenal 1-0 in a crucial English Barclays Premier League game at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The ex-Arsenal striker Van Persie, headed home a corner kick taken by strike partner Wayne Rooney in the 27th minute and the Red Devils secured an important three point to move up to fifth in the EPL standings.

Also on Sunday, Manchester City were shocked at Sunderland as their way struggles in the league continued. The Black Cats scored a 1-0 win over the Citizens with former Manchester United defender Phil Bardsley getting the winning goal after 21-minutes.

Loic Remy rounded the goalkeeper and netted Newcastle United winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Tottenham at White Hart Lane in the early kick-off.

However, the most opened game on Matchweek 11 came from The Liberty Stadium where Stoke City gave away a two-goal lead and had to fight to gain a point in a 3-3 draw with Swansea City.

Jonathan Walters and Stephen Ireland gave the visitors a 2-0 lead at half-time before the four goal thriller in the second half.

Nathan Dyer and two from Wilfried Bony gave Swansea a stunning 3-2 lead before Charlie Adam secure a point for Stoke late in the game.

On Saturday, Luis Suarez scored a brace in Liverpool‘s 4-0 win over Fulham, Southampton beat Hull City 4-1, and a double from Leroy Fer gave Norwich a 3-1 win over West Ham United.

Aston Villa beat Cardiff City 2-0, Chelsea were held 2-2 at home by West Brom, while Everton and Crystal Palace finished 0-0.
