BLIDA (Sporting Alert) — Fans are bracing themselves for what is truly expecting to be a thrilling contest between Algeria and Burkina Faso in their World Cup Qualifying – CAF clash at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida, on Tuesday.

Live TV Channel List: Al Jazeera Sport HD2, Al Jazeera Sport 1, SuperSport Streaming, SuperSport 3 Africa, BT Sport 2, beIN Sport USA, beIN Sport Play, beIN Sport en Español.

The game is the African World Cup play-off second leg tie.

Burkina Faso, the African Nations Cup runners-up, hold a slight 3-2 advantage from the first leg following their win at home, but they come up against an Algeria side which has not lost in 19 matches since 2002.

So who are really the favorites.

“Algeria will be the favourites to win going by their record against Burkina Faso,” Anthar Yahia said on www.cafonline.com. “This is what the media have suggested, but the most important thing is really what happens on the pitch.

“Burkina Faso reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations and they have proved to be a very good team. They only need a draw to qualify and so it could be difficult for Algeria, who also need to be cautious when going forward.”

Visiting coach Paul Put, in the meantime, is grateful for the lead his team grabbed in Ouagadougou, adding that although Algeria start as the favourites, anything can happen.

“Algeria are respected because they have a very good team, they have players who play in the major leagues, they have much more experience and have played in three World Cups, but in football anything is possible,” he said on www.dzfoot.com.
