AP Top 25 College Football Rankings For Week 12 On Nov. 15

MIAMI, FL, Sporting Alert – Clemson, Ohio State and Alabama stayed 1-2-3 in the College Football AP Top 25 Rankings on Sunday, but Oklahoma State is the new No. 4 team in the poll.

Clemson, which improved to 10-0 on Saturday with a 37-27 victory over Syracuse, returns as the No. 1 team in this week’s rankings, after receiving 34 first-place votes for the media panel and 1496 points.

Defending national champion Ohio State comes back as the No. 2 team in this week’s rankings after picking up 23 first-place votes and 1460 points.

The Buckeyes remains undefeated this season and improved to 10-0 with a 28-3 victory over Illinois on Saturday in preparations for next weekend’s Big Ten battle with Michigan State.

Alabama holds down the No. 3 spot and collected four first-place votes from the panel, while tallying 1424 points.

The Crimson Tide (9-1) looked impressive when putting away No. 17 Mississippi State 31-6 over the weekend to continue being the best-looking one-defeat side at the moment.

However, there is a new No. 4 team in the AP top 25 rankings, as Oklahoma State moved one slot up from No. 5.

The Big 12 Cowboys (10-0) extended its winning streak this season after coming back from 17-points down to beat Iowa State 35-31 on Saturday and they replaced fellow Big 12 outfits Baylor as the fourth-ranked team.

Notre Dame (9-1) also moved up one place to complete the top five.

Unbeaten Iowa (10-0) is up two places to No. 6, Oklahoma, fresh off the 44-34 win over the Bears, jumped six spots to No. 7, while Florida, Michigan State and Baylor rounded out the top 10 teams.

Stanford, LSU and Utah dipped the heaviest this week, after all three school’s fell eight spots.

The Cardinal ended up at No. 15 from No. 7 after losing to Oregon, while the Tigers, suffering back-to-back defeats over the weekend, dropped to No. 17, with the Utes, right below them at No. 18 following their loss to Arizona.

UCLA 18, Mississippi State 20, Temple 21 and Memphis 25 all fell from the AP top 25 rankings.
