He will play alongside Alexis Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas.
Vargas comes into the game as the leading scorer at the tournament with six goals from his five outings.
Messi, has five goals, including a hat-trick during the group stage and four assists.
Higuain has four goals already and has to be considered a serious threat.
HOW THEY GOT HERE: Argentina hammered USA 4-0 in their semi-final game in Houston, to secure a place in the final.
Chile turned back Colombia 2-0 in a rain-affected match in Chicago, last Wednesday.
