(Sporting Alert) — The ICC World Twenty20 tournament starts on Sunday with hosts Bangladesh take on Afghanistan at Shere Bangla National Stadium.
Bangladesh head into the game as the favourite to win the opening Group A contest of the tournament and Afghanistan coach Kabir Khan believes his team will be under less pressure than the host nation to deliver.
“When you are hosting a world tournament and you want to be in the tournament and you’re afraid of getting out of it, that is the sort of pressure that is on you,” said Khan.
“I personally think they are facing more pressure than us.”
This will be the first time Bangladesh and Afghanistan will clash in a Twenty20 match.
