TAMPA, FL, Sporting Alert – College football bowl schedule on Monday 2 January with four games listed.

The Featured Bowl Game

Highlighting the list is the battle between Allstate Sugar Bowl between No. 7 Oklahoma and No. 14 Auburn at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

Both teams will be looking to close of their respective campaigns on a winning note but it’s the Sooners (10-2) who the experts are backing to secure the win.

The Big 12 champion is favoured by 53.4 percent to win against the Tigers, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index.

Oklahoma heads into the game aiming to win its 10th straight for the season with the hope of securing two in a row against the SEC in Sugar Bowl action.

The last time Bob Stoops team played in the Allstate Sugar Bowl it picked up a memorable 45-31 win over Alabama in the 2013 season.

Oklahoma Offensive Power

Oklahoma, which is ranked No. 1 in offensive efficiency this season at 91.1, will be led by talented quarterback Baker Mayfield, who has passed for 3,669 yards with 38 touchdowns.

Wide receiver Dede Westbrook has taken 74 catches for 1,465 yards and 16 touchdowns, while running back Joe Mixon has rushed for 1,183 yards on 168 carries for the Sooners in a standout season.

Auburn (8-4) was beaten 30-12 by Alabama the last time and will be looking to bounce back to close out the season.

Running back Kamryn Pettway has rushed for 1,123 yards on just 185 carries so far for the Tigers and he is expected to be a factor against Oklahoma.
