NBA games are often entertaining and memorable at Christmas this year was no different as fans all around the world once again experienced some thrilling matchups. The Boston Celtics delivered a statement win, the Philadelphia 76ers prolonged their win streak to 8 games, while the Golden State Warriors dominated without Steph Curry! The Boston Celtics scored the most team points on Christmas Day 2022 after putting up 139 against the Milwaukee Bucks, while Jayson Tatum and Nikola Jokic each scored 41 points to score the most points by an individual on Christmas this year. The Dallas Mavericks were also impressive, after scoring the most points on Christmas in a quarter in 2022 –erupting for 51 points in the third quarter versus the Los Angeles Lakers.

This year, we saw FIVE entertaining NBA games played on Christmas Day 2022 and all of them had some sort of twist and turn. There were a couple of blowouts, but the schedule ended with a classic overtime fixture between Denver and Western Conference rivals Phoenix.

Boston improved its NBA-best record this season to 24-10 with an exciting 139-1118 victory over the Milwaukee to take its home record this season at The Garden to 13-5. Tatum was the star man for the Celtics after finishing with 41 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals, while Jaylen Brown added 29 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 27 points and nine rebounds for the Bucks (22-11) in the defeat.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors secured a 123-109 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies with Jordan Poole leading the way with 32 points and Klay Thompson adding 24 points and nine rebounds for the Warriors (16-18) who improved to 13-2 at home. Ja Morant ending with 36 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in the defeat for Memphis (20-12).

In other Christmas Day NBA results, the Philadelphia 76ers outlasted the New York Knicks 119-112, Luka Doncic helped the Dallas Mavericks down LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers 124-115 with a massive 51-point third quarter, while the Denver Nuggets edged the Phoenix Suns 128-125 in overtime.
