COLUMBIA, S.C. (Sporting Alert) — Results and Box Scores from the NCAA College Football fixtures that took place on Thursday night, Aug 28.

In top 25 NCAAF action No. 21 Texas A&M stunned No. 9 South Carolina, 52-18, in what turned out to be a completely one-sided contest at the Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, SC.

The game saw sophomore quarterback Kenny Hill breaking Johnny Manziel’s single-game passing record in his first career start for Texas A&M.

Hill threw for an Aggies’ record 511 yards and had three touchdown passes in helping his team ending the Gamecocks’ 18-game home win streak.

“We were ready to prove everyone wrong,” Hill said who finished the game on 44 of 60 completed passes. “We were ready to show we could play without Johnny.”

Dylan Thompson went 20 for 40 for 366 yards with four touchdowns and one interception.

In the other top 25 NCAAF games on Thursday, No. 18 Ole Miss used a strong second half to blow away Boise State 35-13, while No. 19 Arizona State started the season with comfortable 45-14 victory over Weber State.
