College Football New Year’s Day Bowl Live Streaming Schedule

(Sporting Alert) — The Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO is one of six NCAA college football bowl games on the schedule for New Year’s Day on Wednesday.

Game will be streamed live on, while ESPN2, ESPN, ESPNU and ABC will also carry live coverage of all the New Year’s Day games.

The busy day of action will see the No. 5 Stanford Cardinal (11-2) taking on No. 4 Michigan State (12-1) in the 100th Rose Bowl, with the action schedule for the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif.

Stanford comes into the contest high on confidence after winning its last three, including the 38-14 victory at Arizona State to win the Pac-12 Football Championship on Dec 7, and six on their last seven games.

Michigan State is also bang on form –  winning nine straight, include beating the then No. 2 Ohio State in the Big Ten title game and eliminated the Buckeyes’ chance of playing in the VIZIO BCS National Championship game.

Spartans head Mark Dantonio, who will coach in his first Rose Bowl since being a graduate assistant at Ohio State some 29-year-ago, believes it will be a “special moment” when his team steps on the pitch.

“It’s going to be a special moment when we walk out on that field,” Dantonio was quoted as saying. “When you set down and write down your goals and think about the goals in whatever job that you take or occupation, you’re going to have some different things that you want to try to accomplish.

“That was one of the things we were trying to accomplish.”

Another bowl game up for grab on New Year’s Day is the Capital One Bowl which will see No. 9 South Carolina taking on No. 19 Wisconsin at Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.

The Gamecocks (10-2) have won five straight and beat the then No. 6 Clemson 31-17 in their last outing, while the Badgers (9-3) dropped their last game, 31-24 to Penn State on Nov. 30.

Wisconsin enters this game, having lost in the Rose Bowl the last three seasons, including last year’s 20-14 defeat to Stanford.

South Carolina, which beat Michigan 33-28 in the Outback Bowl last year and Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl in 2011, goes after its third straight bowl title on Wednesday.

The battle for the Outback Bowl will see No. 16 LSU looking to end the season on a high with victory over Iowa at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.

No. 22 Georgia face Nebraska for the Gator Bowl, while No. 6 Baylor start favorites to beat No. 15 UCF in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl game.
