SAN ANTONIO (Sporting Alert) — Nick Collison will start in place of the injured Serge Ibaka for the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of Monday night’s Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs.

Ibaka has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a calf suffered during the Western Conference semi-final playoffs series against Los Angeles Clipper and head coach Scott Brooks has decided to go with Collison in his starting five.
Collison will be making his first of the postseason this year after playing his 12 games off the bench.
Ibaka, who is averaging 12.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game, will certainly be missed by the Thunder, who will now look even more to Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to provide most of the firepower.
