The Reggae Boyz, sitting third at the moment in Group B, will take on group leaders Costa Rica at the National Stadium in Kingston, starting at 8:00 PM ET.
Jamaica lost its last two CONCACAF World Cup qualifying games at home, including a fourth round defeat to Panama, and head coach Winfried Schaefer wants his team to start making home a place to fear by the opponents.

The Caribbean powerhouses have three points from the two matches played in the fourth round and need to start winning more games if the nation is to stay on the Road to Russia 2018, but Schaefer believes everything has to be done in order.
“Only focus is Costa Rica, Costa Rica, Costa Rica,” he revealed.
Schaefer went on to break things down — planning the necessary steps needed to get past Panama, Costa Rica and Haiti.
“In this time on this journey or road, there are many stones, but we should not fear these stones,” he said in the Jamaica Observer.
“In fact we can use these stones to build a bridge to go to Russia. There are small stones and then there are heavy stones.
“The heavy stones I cannot move it alone, I need the JFF and the Jamaican people. When I get the help from the JFF and Jamaica, then it is easier for me to get to Russia. With no help, then we can only stop,” he added.
A defeat for Jamaica on Thursday night would put the Reggae Boyz at a disadvantage, especially if Panama was to beat Haiti in Port-au-Prince.
Meanwhile, Group A front runners Mexico and Canada will face-off in another battle.

El Tri, the leaders of the group, will go in search of win number three as they seek to move closer to qualifying for the final round.
However, a victory for Canada would move them to seven points, which would see them leapfrogging Mexico for the lead in the group.
Elsewhere in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying action on Good Friday, the United States will travel to take on Guatemala in Group C.
The Stars and Stripes share the spotlight with Trinidad and Tobago in the group standings with four points each.
