Day One – Commonwealth Games Live Stream on Youtube, Schedule

Following the opening ceremony at Celtic Park on Wednesday, the XX Commonwealth Games officially kicks-off with a full schedule on Thursday. Here is the list of events taking place on the first day of action on Thursday.

Amongst the competitions getting underway in Glasgow, on Thursday are Weightlifting, Netball, Squash, Table Tennis, Swimming, Triathlon, Hockey and Gymnastics.

The Games will be without several high-profiled athletes in all the areas, as they continue to prepare for other upcoming events, but top class fields are still assembled in almost every event.

A lot of attention on Day one in Glasgow, will come from the women’s Netball, where Australia are listed to play, as well as the exciting Gymnastics and the men’s & women’s Triathlon competitions.

UPDATED: In fact, England’s Jodie Stimpson has struck the first gold medal of the 2014 Commonwealth Games after she won the  women’s triathlon on the opening day of action.
