(Sporting Alert) — England coach Stuart Pearce welcomes back his key trio for today’s European Under-21 Championship clash against Norway on Saturday.
Returning to the starting line-up for England are forward Wilfried Zaha, winger Tom Ince and defender Danny Rose as England try to make up for the opening group defeat.
Manchester United-bound Zaha missed the opening Group A fixture because of an ankle injury, but Pearce said the player has looked very good in practice and is raring to go.
“Wilf Zaha has been great in training and is itching to play,” Pearce said. “So are Danny Rose and Tom Ince.
“We have a strong squad of players and they want to put it right against Norway. They have to put in a performance.”
Nathaniel Chalobah has also started for England are coming off the bench against Italy, while Henri Lansbury, who missed training on Friday with a groin problem is on the bench.
