LONDON, Sporting Alert – English Premier League table standings ahead of the Week 9 schedule this weekend.
Manchester City and Arsenal are the leaders heading into the weekend with 19 points each, with the Citizens holding the advantage on goal difference.
Both Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola will be hoping their respective teams can separate from each other in a positive way.
Tottenham are sitting in third place with 18 points and if results go in their favour, they could finish this round as the new leaders.
The same has to be said about fourth place Liverpool, who can also rush to the top of the table standings with a victory and those above failed in their games.
The top 10 teams in the table standings is completed by Chelsea (16pts), Everton (15), Manchester United (14), Southampton (12), Crystal Palace (11) and Watford (11).
Bournemouth, with 11 points, sit 11th in the points standings, and they are followed by West Bromwich, Leicester City, Burnley and West Ham United who round out the top 15.
After that, it’s all crazy below, with Sunderland, who are sitting dead last with two points continue to be one of the heavy favourites to be relegated at the end of the season.
Also in the relegation zone are two teams normally battling for places in the top half.
Swansea City are in 19th and Stoke City sit 18th.
