Arsenal Fixtures Premier League: Arsene Wenger

English Premier League Week 9 Fixtures, Kick-off Times

LONDON, Sporting Alert – English Premier League fixtures and kick-off times for the matchups on the schedule for Week 9.

Joint leaders Manchester City and Arsenal will return to domestic action after contrasting results in the Champions League.

Man City will play host to Southampton on Sunday in the search to bounce back from the 4-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Barcelona in Spain in the Champions League in midweek.

The Citizens made a bright start to the season, but are now winless in four games in all competitions.

Pep Guardiola men will face a Southampton team that sits eighth in the English Premier League table standings and beat Burnley 3-1 in the last league outing.

The Saints, though, were beaten 1-0 by Inter Milan in the Europa League on Thursday.

Arsenal, who are on a rich run at the moment, will host Middlesbrough at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Gunners have won six league games in a row heading into the clash with Boro, and manager Arsene Wenger is confident his team can continue its impressive run.

But despite showing belief in his players, Wenger is not expecting any easy games, even coming up against a Middlesbrough side that has failed to pick up a win in the English Premier League in the last six outings.

“We live in a jungle where everybody wants to eat you and you have to survive by keeping your vigilance,” the Frenchman said. “Every day you have to fight again to survive.”

Despite the recent poor results, Boro’s boss Aitor Karanka will not change his style.

“Arsenal have their own style, but we have to think about ourselves and play in our way,” he said.

On Sunday, Jose Mourinho will take his Manchester United side back to his old club, Chelsea, in what is expected to be the clash of the round.

Mourinho’s side is undefeated in the last six games in all competitions and is coming off a 4-1 victory over Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have won two straight in the English Premier League, including a 3-0 victory over defending champions Leicester City last weekend.

In other fixtures in Week 9, title chasers Tottenham travel to Bournemouth, Leicester City host Crystal Palace, Everton are at Burnley, Liverpool entertain West Bromwich, while Swansea City host Watford and West Ham United welcome a struggling Sunderland.
