SPORTING ALERT – Live college football streaming continues on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN App on Thursday, as Week 9 fixtures get underway.
Thursday night’s games streaming live on ESPN3.com are the matchups between Buffalo against Miami (Ohio) and the Skycam coverage of Oregon vs Arizona State.
The action from Yager Stadium in Oxford, OH will get underway at 6:30 p.m. CT, where Mid-American Conference strugglers Miami (Ohio) and Buffalo will do battle.
The RedHawks (1-7) head into this home game on a disastrous run after losing seven straight games and sit at the bottom of the Mid-American – EAST standings with a 0-4 record.
In conference play so far, Miami (Ohio) has already given up 134 points, second only to Eastern Michigan, which has allowed 187 points in the MAC.
Overall on offense, the RedHawks have scored 115 points in seven games, but have scored just 27 points in the last three games combined and gave up 114.
Buffalo, in the meantime, are coming off a 41-17 victory over Ohio – a win that snapped its three-game losing streak, as Jordan Johnson ran for 147 yards and two scores on 28 carries to lead the way.
The Bulls (3-4) can move up in the standings in MAC with a win and oddsmakers have them as 7-points favourites for this one, with the game’s total is sitting at 50.
Meanwhile, Oregon and Arizona State will battle in the second game on ESPN3 on the night, at 9:30 p.m. CT, with both teams looking for its fifth win on the season.
The Ducks (4-3) head to the Sun Devil Stadium listed as 3-point underdogs, but after winning eight straight in this series, they are confident about pulling off the road win.
After losing to Washington State, Oregon bounced back the last time out with a 26-20 win against Washington.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, another loss for the Ducks, would see them losing four games before the “end of October for the first time since 1997.”
Arizona State was beaten 34-18 by Utah in their outing last time, which stopped their two-game winning streak.
The total for Thursday night’s game is set to 66.
In the other games in Week 9, No. 5 TCU will play host to West Virginia at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. The game is live at 6:30 p.m. on FOXS1.
The Horned Frogs are listed as 14.5-point favorites against the Mountaineers.
No. 23 Pittsburgh and North Carolina will do battle at Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA, with the game time set for 6:00 p.m.
