MIAMI, FL, Sporting Alert — Here is the ESPN3 schedule for the College Football games streaming live on Thursday, August 31, in the first full list of games on the season.
The 2017 campaign kick-off last Saturday with games, including two involving AP Top 25 teams, and after a five-day break, the action will resume this week.
College football ESPN3 schedule for Thursday includes six games – four of which will begin at 7:00 pm ET.
At the Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, Austin Peay at Cincinnati, with Tennessee State at Georgia State, Elon at Toledo and Rhode Island at Central Michigan also kicking off at 7 pm.
After winning its first two games to start last season, including a 38-20 victory at Purdue, Cincinnati struggled to hold its form — losing five straight to end the season and seven of the last eight overall.
The 4-8 record prompted changes with the experienced defensive coordinator Luke Fickell named the Bearcats’ 42nd football head coach in December 2016.
Fickell is hoping for a much better season, while installing a new “culture” in an attempt to “create a family atmosphere” in his push to move the program forward.
“It’s what you guys will think when you watch on Thursday night,” he revealed, “about what is this program really about?
“Is it about the 4-3 defense, is it about the spread offense? If that’s what you think, then we probably aren’t doing the things that we need to do to be the program that we’re gonna have a chance, to not only get to excellence, but to sustain excellence.”
Meanwhile, Connecticut will entertain Holy Cross at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, starting at 7:30, while the last game on the ESPN3 schedule will go off at 9:00 pm and this involves Sacramento State at Idaho.
A total of 15 games are on the college football schedule for Thursday, including the game involving No. 2 Ohio State at Indiana.
No. 10 Oklahoma State entertain near by opponent Tulsa at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
