Sturridge, who netted a brace for the Reds in last weekend’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa, was rested for the 1-1 midweek draw with FC Sion in the Europa League, but as expected, manager Brendan Rodgers has recalled his main frontman.
The England international will start alongside fellow Englishman Danny Ings in the attack, but there was no Christian Benteke in the squad.
Liverpool go with the same team that featured in the last Premier League outing.
Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson and Dejan Lovren are all still out for the Reds, who need a victory today to ease some of the pressure off their manager.
Like Liverpool, Everton are also unchanged for this contest, as John Stones and Seamus Coleman are both still out.
Stones is out with a knee problem, while Coleman misses out with a hamstring injury, which means the likes of Brendan Galloway, Tyias Browning and Ramiro Funes Mori will continue to feature in the back.
Everton have scored three times in three of their last six Premier League matches, according to Opta Stats, and with the kind of form Roberto Martinez men are in, we can look forward to seeing more goals from the Blues.
Expect a bright performance from the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Ross Barkley, Steven Naismith and Gerard Deulofeu in the attack for Everton, while Gareth Barry and James McCarthy will need to be a bit more disciplined in the midfield.
It could also be a very busy day for goalkeeper Tim Howard, with Sturridge, James Milner and Philippe Coutinho expected to test the American continuously today.
Everton Team: Howard, Browning, Jagielka, Funes Mori, Galloway, McCarthy, Barry, Deulofeu, Barkley, Naismith, Lukaku. Subs: Robles, Gibson, Oviedo, Kone, Lennon, Osman, Holgate.
Liverpool Team: Mignolet, Skrtel, Sakho, Can, Clyne, Moreno, Lucas, Milner, Coutinho, Ings, Sturridge. Subs: Bogdan, Gomez, Rossiter, Allen, Ibe, Lallana, Origi.
