Louisville Women’s Volleyball Schedule This week

The volleyball court at the KFC Yum! Center is about to witness an electrifying series of matchups as the No. 2-ranked University of Louisville Cardinals prepare to host No. 21 Kentucky and No. 5 Stanford.

Louisville, which is off to an impressive 8-0 start this season, will first face their in-state rival Kentucky on Wednesday at 8 p.m., followed by a top-five clash with No. 5 Stanford on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Cardinals’ Unbeaten Streak

The Cardinals have been a force to reckon with, sweeping No. 13 Penn State recently and maintaining an undefeated record. Key players like outside hitters Anna DeBeer and Charitie Luper, and opposite hitter Aiko Jones have been instrumental in their success.

The team’s stats are equally impressive, with Cara Cresse leading in hitting percentage both in the ACC and nationally.

Kentucky Wildcats: Aiming for Redemption

Kentucky started the season ranked No. 10 but has since slipped to 2-4. Their recent loss to No. 17 Purdue adds urgency to their upcoming match against the Cardinals. Reagan Rutherford, with 82 kills and 98 points this season, will be a player to watch.

Stanford Cardinal: A Formidable Foe

Stanford comes into the match with a 6-2 record, after losing to No. 4 Nebraska on Tuesday night. The Cardinals have also suffered a defeat against No. 3 Florida.
