Reigning National Champions

The Longhorns entered the 2023 season as the reigning National Champions, having defeated Louisville in straight sets to win the 2022 title. They return five starters from that championship team, including first-team All-Big 12 players Asjia O’Neal, Molly Phillips, and Madisen Skinner.

Texas is coming off back-to-back 3-1 victories of BYU last week at Gregory Gymnasium and the defending champions will be hoping to secure another sweep against a formidable Kansas team that swept Houston in a two-game series in Lawrence in the last outing.
