James, who is averaging 25.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.9 assists per game and shooting 49.6 percent from the field this season, is coming off a very productive night against the Washington Wizards, where he score 34 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in the 121-115 win on Wednesday.

The Cavs leader was grabbing his 11 double-double outings on the season, but he was properly supported by All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving who scored a season-high 32 points and dominated the fourth quarter.

In his seven games played so far this season since returning from knee surgery last June, Irving is averaging 17.4 points and 4.0 assists per game on 24.3 minutes per contest, while shooting 45-percent from the floor.

On Friday night, the Cavs will come up against a Timberwolves side searching for consistency and is currently on a four game losing streak.

On a productive side though, rookie center Karl-Anthony Towns is averaging 15.9, points 9.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

The former Kentucky star is coming off a 14 points and 14 rebounds performance in a 78-74 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday — a good sign for him after posting back-to-back eight-point outing in earlier defeats.

Andrew Wiggins enters this game as the team’s leading scorer, averaging 20.1 points. He’ll be up against his former employers.

Meanwhile, in other NBA games on Friday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder (25-11, 8-6 Away) will face the Los Angeles Lakers (8-29, 4-10 Home) at STAPLES Center, the Golden State Warriors (33-2, 16-2 Away) and the Portland Trail Blazers (15-23, 8-8 Home) will square off at Moda Center.

Elsewhere, the Miami Heat (21-14, 6-6 Away) will battle with the Suns (13-25, 9-10 Home) at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, while the San Antonio Spurs (31-6, 21-0 Home) take their undefeated home record into the AT&T Center against the New York Knicks (18-19, 9-11 Away).
