MANCHESTER, Sporting Alert – Paul Pogba proposed £100million move to Manchester United continues to inch closer to the line, with Sky Sports reporting on Friday that the deal is all but done.

The Frenchman is due to return to Juventus for pre-season training next week, but according to Sky Sports, his world record move back to Old Trafford is expected to be completed by then.

In fact, the British media reported earlier this week that Pogba could be announced as a Manchester United player next month, which would be enough time for him to be ready for the Red Devils’ opening English Premier League match against Bournemouth on Aug. 14.

It is understood that the major parts of the deal are already done and dusted, but the involving parties want to make sure all the necessary details are finalized before signing off on their respective documents and making any announcements.

Sky Sports News reporter Andy Burton was at Manchester United training on Friday and he had this to say: “We are closer, but he is not here yet.

“We have been told that they are still working on negotiations this week.

“I was told on Sunday that essentially the deal was done and they were just working on the finer details of it, just to be able to get it over the line.

“It is a question of when not if as we understand it. It is complicated. A deal of this magnitude has to be right.”

Meanwhile, Burton is also reporting that Germany World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger trained on his own on Friday and was told that he was not in Jose Mourinho’s plans, there he had no future at Old Trafford.

It is understood that a move back to his former club Bayern Munich looks well on the card.

The midfielder was brought to the club last summer by then Manchester United Louis van Gaal, but struggled with his fitness.

“Bastian Schweinsteiger was training today, but on his own, away from the main group,” the Sky Sports News reporter revealed.

“He has been told that he does not have a future here with Manchester United.”
