Messi Starts: Argentina 2 v Mexico 2 Live and Lineups

TEXAS, Sporting Alert – Lionel Messi and Carlos Tevez both start for Argentina in tonight’s football friendly international clash against Mexico here at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Messi, who came off the bench in the last outing to score a brace, gets the start this time and the Barcelona forward will play alongside former Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus striker Tevez in the attack.

Starting in the front line as well is Angel Correa, while Sergio Agüero starts this game on the bench.

Defender Marcos Rojo, who is yet to play for Manchester United this season, start in the backline for Argentina where he will play alongside Facundo Roncaglia, Martin Demichelis and Nicolas Otamendi.

Fernando Gago, Javier Mascherano and Ever Banega will operate in the midfield, while Nahuel Guzman starts in goal with Manchester United‘s Sergio Romero on the bench.

Besides Aguero, Matias Kranevitter, Emmanuel Mas, Nicolas Gaitan and Roberto Pereyra are also on the bench.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez leads the attack for Mexico, with Andres Guardado and Raul Jimenez expected to support him up front for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup champions.

Hector Moreno, Hector Herrera, Jose Juan Vazquez, Diego Reyes and Rafael Marquez all start as well for Mexico, while Alfredo Talavera, Javier Aquino and Carlos Vela both start on the bench.
