Miami Heat v Atlanta Hawks: Wade, Haslem Out

MIAMI (Sporting Alert) — Dwayne Wade will miss the Miami Heat’s opening preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks at AmericanAirlines Arena on Monday night.

The All-Star guard was initially listed as a starter, but he now misses the game because he wants to take it easy in his approach to the new season.

According to Wade, who wasn’t feeling like himself, he wants to take things a little easy, and a little slower this term, as he doesn’t want to risk getting any unnecessary setbacks so early in the preseason.

The Miami Heat is schedule to be back on the court for a training session on Tuesday and Wade revealed that he will be ready to continue preparation for the 2013-14 campaign.

Besides Wade, Udonis Haslem, Chris Andersen, Greg Oden and Michael Beasley will not be suiting up for the Heat tonight either.

The starting team is Mario Chalmers James Jones, LeBron James, Battier and Chris Bosh
