CLEVELAND, Sporting Alert — LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers may have already given up on a comeback in the NBA Finals, but they certainly aren’t prepared to be swept on their own floor.

The Golden State Warriors are seeking to make history with another playoff win, while the Cavs is seriously hoping to save face and extend its season. Watch live stream coverage on WatchESPN, while ABC will have the live television broadcast. Game time is set for 9:00 pm ET.

Cleveland enters Friday night’s Game 4 battle down 3-0 in the series after failing to find an answer in the opening three previous outings.

The defending champions dropped just one game this postseason heading into this series, but could become see their campaign ending in embarrassment.

James and Co. just haven’t been able to contain Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and the rest of the Warrior players and the travelers who have won 15 straight games in this year’s postseason, are determined and motivated to get the job done in Game 4.

Meanwhile, Warriors, who side-stepped all their opponents in the previous rounds, are seeking to become the first team in NBA history to travel through the playoffs without a loss.

A victory for Steve Kerr’s men would see them lifting their second NBA championships in three seasons, while Durant, the front-runner for the Finals MVP title, would finally get his hands on the league’s most prestigious trophy.

“I didn’t envision anything but just being around good people and getting better every single day,” Durant said. “That’s exactly what happened throughout the season.

“I didn’t talk to these guys when I made my decision and say we better make it to The Finals and be up in the series around this time, this exact date, or I’m not coming.

“I mean, it was just let’s just have some fun playing ball, let’s just all get better and let’s see what happens,” he added.

James, who is averaging a triple-double with 32 points, 12.3 rebounds and 10.3 in this series, admits that he’s playing against the best time in the league.

“This has been the best team in our league the last three years,” James admitted on Thursday.

“They won a championship, and last year it was the greatest regular-season team we had played, probably one of the best postseason teams that everybody’s ever seen as well, but we were just able to overcome that.

“And they’re playing like one of the best teams once again.”

James added: “We’ll see what happens. “Obviously you never know what’s going to happen, but as it stands right now, they look pretty good, as far as the future.”
