(Sporting Alert) — The Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat were all winners in the NBA on Monday night.
Blake Griffin and Chris Paul helped the LA Clippers (17-5) to a convincing 115-92 victory over the San Antonio Spurs (19-5) at STAPLES Center.
Blake finished 27 points and nine rebounds, while Paul had 23 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals in the victory.
Tim Duncan had 17 points, 11 rebounds and five assists for the Spurs in the defeat.
“The best part about this game was we knew what we had to do,” Griffin said. “We executed our game plan. Even when they made runs, nobody got down. That positive attitude is big.”
In other NBA scores, the Atlanta defeated the LA Lakers, 114-100 on the night, while there was a victory also for the Boston Celtics, who stopped the Minnesota Timberwolves, 101-97, as forward Jared Sullinger had 24 points and 11 rebounds in all while adding a career-high five assists.
