NEW YORK (3-December) —— Luka Doncic tallied 30 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in only three quarters and the Dallas Mavericks beat the New York Knicks 121-100 in early NBA results on Saturday. A total of five Dallas players scored in double figures today to help the visitors pull away and secured the road win at Madison Square Garden, here in New York.

Tim Hardaway Jr. added 28 points and seven rebounds against his former team, Spencer Dinwiddie ended with 17 points, nine assists and nine rebounds, while Maxi Kleber scored 13 points for the Mavericks (11-11) in the victory in what was the team’s second win in seven games. Julius Randle had 24 points and five rebounds for New York, which collected 23 points and six rebounds from reserve Immanuel Quickley in the home game loss.

RJ Barrett had 13 points and six boards and Jalen Brunson finished with 13 points for the Knicks (10-13) who fell to 4-7 here at Madison Square Garden this season and dropped their sixth game in the past eight outing overall.

New York led through the opening two quarters –leading 32-20 after the first period and 59-52 at halftime, and shot 55% in the first half, as the Mavericks’ Doncic was limited to just 11 points on 3 of 11 shooting in the first half.

However, the NBA’s leading scorer scored 19 points on 8 of 10 shooting in the third quarter and Hardaway supported with 17 points and hit five 3-pointers in the same period to put Dallas in front 93-74 and the Knicks, who trailed by as many as 32 points, struggled to keep up and they were outscored 69-41 in the second half.

Dallas will host fellow Western Conference rivals Phoenix Suns on Monday. New York, in the meantime, will entertain the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.
