NCAAF WEEK 5: College Football Results and Box Scores

(Sporting Alert, BOX SCORES) -- Results and scores from Week 5 of the NCAA College Football fixtures, which took place on Saturday 28, September.

Among the winners in the NCAAF this weekend were No. 1 Alabama, who came through a tough first opening half to keep No. 21 Ole Miss scoreless in the 25-0 victory and improved to 4-0 on Saturday night.

"They totally took it to us," said Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze,. "We did not have answers to what they were doing to us defensively.

"We gave up some explosive plays, which you can't do.

"They had the right call every single time, it seemed like. Not what I anticipated happening tonight."

Their were wins also for No. 2 Oregon picked up a 55-16 victory over California, No. 3 Clemson were 56-7 victors over Wake Forest, No. 4 Ohio State registered an exciting 31-24 result over a very determined No. 23 Wisconsin side, while No. 5 Stanford had no problems putting away Washington State 55-17.

However, No. 6 LSU failed to get by No. 9 Georgia, who squeezed out a 44-41 result and ended the Tigers' undefeated run to start the season.

No. 11 Oklahoma State 21, were upset on the road by West Virginia 30, but No. 10 Texas A&M 45, put away Arkansas 33 and No. 14 Oklahoma 35, topped No. 22 Notre Dame 21.
