BENGALS 36, CHIEFS 21
CINCINNATI – Andy Dalton threw for 321 yards and one touchdown and Jeremy Hill ran for three scores and the Cincinnati Bengals stayed unbeaten with a 36-21 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Dalton, who went 17 of 24 on passes, completed a 55-yards TD pass to Brandon Tate in the third quarter as the Bengals (4-0) won four straight this season.
Hill, who scored the opening touchdown of the game to give Cincinnati the lead, scored two more in the second half.
Alex Smith was 31 of 45 for 386 yards, but ended the game without a touchdown pass for the Kansas City Chiefs (1-3) who have now dropped three games in a row.
Jeremy Maclin had 11 catches for 148 yards and Jamaal Charles ran for 75 yards in the defeat for Kansas City.
PANTHERS 37, BUCCANEERS 23
TAMPA, Fla. — Cam Newton threw for two touchdowns on 11 of 22 for 124 yards and ran for another 51 yards and the Carolina Panthers remained unbeaten this season with a 37-23 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Josh Norman had two interceptions on the day and returned one of them for a 46-yard score, while Ted Ginn Jr. caught two touchdown passes for the Panthers (4-0).
Carolina starts a season 4-0 for the first time since 2003.
It was another struggling afternoon for Tampa Bay rookie quarterback Jameis Winston, who threw four interceptions in another game he will hopefully want to quickly forget.
Despite his struggles at finding his targets during the game, the former Florida State man ended with 287 yards passing and threw for two touchdowns in the defeat for the Buccaneers (1-3).
Doug Martin ran for 106 yards and a score and Vincent Jackson caught 10 of his 15 targets for 147 yards and a touchdown for Tampa Bay.
