The Blue Devils (4-0) will then travel to Portland for the remainder of the tournament, which begins on Thanksgiving Day against Portland State.

On Monday night, Duke will aim to win its fifth successive game of the season and ESPN’s Basketball Power Index is giving the home side an 88.5 percent chance to extend the run.

A win against Furman (2-1) would see Mike Krzyzewski side extending its nation-best active win streak to 136 consecutive non-conference home games.

The Blue Devils picked up a 78-61 win over Southern on Friday night, but although coach Krzyzewski was happy to have gotten the victory, he seemed less than thrilled with the performance and would have certainly addressed it during practice over the past couple of days.

Freshmen Marvin Bagley III, Wendell Carter, Jr. and Trevon Duval, along with senior Grayson Allen are among the leading contributors this season for Duke, which is scoring 90.5 points per game and allowing 69.8 at the other end.

Furman started its season with consecutive wins over Bob Jones and Elon, but fell to Butler, 82-65 on Saturday.

Devin Sibley, the reigning Southern Conference Player of the Year, is scoring 19.0 points per game and is expected to be the main threat to the Blue Devils.

The last time Duke and the Paladins met was in November 2014 when the former ran away with a comfortable 93-54 victory.
