Jose Mourinho side has dropped three games in a row, including two in the English Premier League and needs to deliver a clinical display against the League One side on the road.
Mourinho is expected to make changes once again to his starting XI, with the likes of Michael Carrick, Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young and Daley Blind all scheduled to be handed starts.
However, left-back Luke Shaw and striker Anthony Martial will both miss the trip to Northampton.

After falling three times in a row in recent outings, Manchester United are desperate for a win to help ease the pressure off manager Mourinho, who has been taking a bit of a stick in recent weeks.
